Eligibility
To be eligible for admission to Yilo Krobo Senior High School, applicants must have completed Junior High School and sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). Students must demonstrate readiness for senior high school education and meet the required academic standards.
Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
Admissions into Yilo Krobo Senior High School are conducted through the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), introduced by the Ghana Education Service to ensure fairness, transparency, and merit-based placement into senior high schools across the country.
Merit-Based Placement
Placement into the school is based primarily on a candidate’s raw scores in the BECE. The CSSPS ensures that students are admitted based on academic performance and programme selection criteria. This merit-based system reflects our commitment to excellence and fairness in admissions.
Entry Requirements
Like all public senior high schools under the Ghana Education Service, students admitted to Yilo Krobo Senior High School are selected based on their BECE performance through the CSSPS. We remain committed to nurturing the talents of every student entrusted to our care.
Admissions Procedure for Ghanaian Students
Ghanaian students seeking admission must select Yilo Krobo Senior High School as a preferred choice during the BECE school selection process, meet the academic requirements for their chosen programme, be placed in the school through the CSSPS, and report to the school upon placement to complete registration and enrollment.
Admissions Procedure for Foreign Students
Foreign students are required to contact the Ghana Education Service (GES) for guidance on placement procedures. It should be noted that foreign students are not eligible for free tuition under the Government of Ghana’s Free Senior High School Programme.
