You are warmly welcome to Yilo Krobo Senior High School (YIKROSEC), a distinguished mixed Senior High School located in Somanya in the Eastern Region of Ghana. As one of the leading second-cycle institutions in the region, YIKROSEC is widely recognized for its strong commitment to academic excellence, discipline, and the holistic development of our students. We take pride in providing quality education that prepares young men and women for higher academic pursuits and meaningful contributions to society.

About us
The school was established in 1964 as a day institution under the management of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, with a strong foundation in discipline, moral training, and academic excellence. In 1974, as part of national educational reforms, the Government of Ghana took over its administration and converted it into a Day/Boarding school; however, due to the absence of purpose-built dormitories at the time, some classrooms were temporarily converted into boarding facilities. Despite these initial challenges, the school steadily expanded in enrollment, infrastructure, and academic performance, growing into one of the respected second-cycle institutions in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
