Profile of the Head of Department (HOD)

Madam Odonkor Monica Mateko is a highly dedicated and accomplished educator with extensive experience in Home Economics education and academic leadership. She has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, mentorship, and departmental administration. Her academic journey began at Agomanya R/C JSS, where she completed her BECE in 1995, and continued at Akwamuman Secondary School from 1996 to 1998, earning her SSSCE.

Driven by her passion for education, she proceeded to Damango Training College, where she obtained her Certificate ‘A’ between 1999 and 2002. She later advanced her studies at the University of Education, Winneba, earning a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Home Economics from 2008 to 2012. In pursuit of academic excellence and professional growth, she obtained a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Home Economics from the same university between 2015 and 2021, further strengthening her expertise in research, curriculum development, and educational leadership.

Madam Mateko currently serves as the Head of Department for Home Economics and Secretary to the Academic Board. In these roles, she provides strategic leadership, coordinates departmental activities, supports effective curriculum implementation, and contributes significantly to academic planning and policy development within the school.
